PARMARTH

Livelihood

India’s more than  2/3rd population still resides in rural areas where people are dependent on agriculture and agriculture related activities for making both ends meet. However, the rural community is facing grave challenges owing to vagaries of monsoon, lack of irrigation facilities, poor soil health and outdated agriculture practices. For developing an equitable and empowered society, it is essential to explore other alternative livelihood options so to reduce the excessive dependency on traditional agriculture.
